The original home of the wealthy Chirnside family,
the Point Cook Homestead was built in 1857. Explore the historic
homestead, picnic in the grounds overlooking the bay and wander
through the old bluestone barns for a look at the home of the
first Caulfield Cup winner, Newminster. The equine connection
continues today as the grounds of the Point Cooke Homestead are
home to several retired CUB Clydesdale horses.
