The Australian Railway Historical Society (Victorian
Division) Railway Museum is located on Champion Road in North
Williamstown, just a short walk from the North Williamstown railway
station.
Exhibits on display include steam, diesel and
electric locomotives, carriages, wagons and a beautifully recreated
station building.
The Museum is within a comfortable 20 minute
train ride from Melbourne's CBD or an easy 15 drive from most
parts of Melbourne's inner suburbs.
The museum is open on Saturdays, Sundays and
Public Holidays (except Good Friday and Christmas Day) between
12 Noon and 5pm.
During School Holidays, the museum is open on
Wednesdays between 12 Noon and 4pm.
Mid week school and group visits by arrangement.
