Moonee Valley Racing Club is a multi-purpose venue that hosts a range of races, as well as race day and non-race day functions and events throughout the year.

Moonee Valley Racing Club stages a total of 33 race meetings per year and is the only Club in Melbourne to host night racing.

Moonee Valley Racing Club is best known for being the home of the Carlton Draught Cox Plate, one of the world’s great weight-for-age races. The Cox Plate, named in honour of the club’s founder Sam Cox, is also one of the premier races of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival and is watch by more than 1.2 billion people world-wide every year.
